John Newton
Director of Logistics
John Newton serves as Director of Logistics for Steadfast Alliance, where he leads the company’s logistics and purchasing operations supporting Steadfast’s rapidly expanding footprint across Florida and beyond. Focused on operational excellence, strategic procurement, and supply chain execution, John plays a critical role in equipping field teams with the resources, systems, and support needed to safely and successfully deliver exceptional results for clients.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning military service, global logistics, procurement, and large-scale construction operations, John brings a mission-first mindset to every aspect of his work. He served for 11.5 years in the United States Army as both an enlisted Airborne Ranger and Infantry Officer, including service with the 3rd Ranger Battalion and as an instructor at the U.S. Army Ranger School. Following his military career, John transitioned into the oil and gas construction sector, leading procurement and logistics operations for organizations including Bechtel, Shell, Marathon, and BP across major domestic and international projects.
Throughout his career, John has successfully planned and executed logistics operations on multiple multi-billion-dollar construction projects, shipped more than 40,000 loads on a residential access corridor with zero safety incidents during the Cove Point LNG project, and most importantly, led 135 soldiers safely home from Iraq following Operation Iraqi Freedom. His leadership style is rooted in servant leadership, operational discipline, and a deep commitment to the success and safety of the people he serves.
John describes “The Steadfast Way” as an enduring dedication to mission accomplishment, operational excellence, and doing whatever it takes to safely and successfully complete the job while building lasting client trust. He is passionate about developing servant leaders, strengthening logistics systems, leveraging technology platforms such as NetSuite, improving inventory control, and building strategic vendor partnerships that support Steadfast’s continued growth and scalability.
Based in Tampa, John is a proud father of three children and remains actively involved in his faith community, veterans initiatives, the Children’s Cancer Society, and the Special Olympics. Outside of work, he enjoys concerts, Las Vegas Raiders football, writing, fly fishing, and Washington Capitals hockey. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from American Military University and an MBA with a concentration in Supply Chain and Operations from Colorado Technical University.
